1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Flowdat ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

Flowdat is a dance discovery platform that aggregates and displays:

  • Class schedules - Information from dance studios and venues
  • Community submissions - User-submitted events including sessions, battles, and other dance events

3. Accuracy disclaimer

Important: Class information may be out of date. While we make reasonable efforts to keep listings current, we cannot guarantee that all information is accurate or up to date.

You should always verify class times, prices, and availability directly with the venue or organiser before attending. Classes may be cancelled, rescheduled, or modified without notice to us.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with any of the dance studios, venues, or organisers whose information appears on our platform unless explicitly stated.

4. User submissions

4.1 Submission process

Users may submit events to be displayed on the platform. All submissions are subject to review before publication. We reserve the right to:

  • Approve, reject, or edit any submission at our sole discretion
  • Remove approved content at any time without notice
  • Contact submitters for clarification or additional information

4.2 Submitter responsibilities

By submitting content, you represent and warrant that:

  • All information provided is accurate and truthful to the best of your knowledge
  • You have the right to submit this information (e.g., you are the organiser or have permission)
  • The submission does not infringe any third-party rights or violate any laws
  • You consent to the public display of the event information

4.3 Content ownership

You retain ownership of content you submit. By submitting, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, reproduce, and distribute the content on our platform for the purpose of providing the Service.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent event information
  • Use the Service to spam, harass, or deceive other users or organisers
  • Attempt to copy or republish our aggregated data
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to it
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
  • Impersonate another person or organisation
  • Submit content that is illegal, defamatory, or violates third-party rights

6. Intellectual property

6.1 Our content

The Flowdat name, logo, website design, and original content are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute these without our written permission.

6.2 Third-party content

Class information displayed on our platform may be subject to third-party intellectual property rights. We display this information for informational purposes to help the dance community.

6.3 Removal requests and opt-out

We aggregate publicly available class schedule information to help dancers discover classes and events. We respect the wishes of studios, venues, instructors, and organisers regarding their listings.

If you would like your information removed from our platform, please contact us at support@flowdat.co with:

  • Your name and role (e.g., studio owner, instructor, organiser)
  • The specific content you would like removed (e.g., studio name, class listings, instructor profile)
  • Brief verification that you are authorised to request removal (e.g., email from your studio's domain)

We aim to process all removal requests within 7 days. Once removed, we will not re-add your information without your explicit consent.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We are not responsible for any injuries, losses, or damages arising from your attendance at events listed on our platform
  • We are not liable for event cancellations, schedule changes, or inaccurate information
  • We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or suitability of any class, event, or venue
  • Your use of the Service is at your own risk
  • We provide the Service "as is" without warranties of any kind

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim (which is £0 as the Service is free to use).

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Flowdat, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these terms
  • Your submission of inaccurate or misleading content
  • Your violation of any third-party rights

9. Third-party links

Our platform may contain links to third-party websites (e.g., venue websites, Instagram profiles, booking systems). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of these external sites.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without notice, for any reason, including violation of these terms.

11. Changes to terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
